Coxton Falls

If you follow the Susquehanna River from Ransom to Exeter, somewhere along the way you'll come across this roadside beauty. Ok, so it's not so beautiful in spring, but in the summer it sure is nice.
This large rocky ledge is known as Coxton Falls and the waterfall is fed by reservoirs in Pittston.
The waterfall is very thin and there's a constant rainbow in it as long as the sun hits the water.
Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on your point of view), there is plenty of graffiti on the rocks.
Some of the graffiti is very old, such as this one from 1871.
Coxton Falls also provides a wonderful view of the Susquehanna River.
Besides being a scenic location and having a graffiti record dating back to the the 1800s, Coxton Falls also has historical significance. The Eastern Railfans were formed on top of the ledge, and a marker was carved into the rock.
