Centralia Mine Fire

On a frigid January day, we ventured out to Centralia to see how it was doing. First, we stopped by Route 61 and discovered that the crack is getting larger.
It began to snow a bit and we admired the image of sublime beauty.
The burning hill was interesting as always. Here, a small burnt pine tree sits within the fumes.
Many little plants were growing around the less-smokey areas of the hill.
We stumbled upon a Russian Orthodox cemetery behind St. Ignatius.
