Buildings Along the D&H |

| Along a segment of abandoned Delaware & Hudson railroad tracks, this mystery building stands tall. It is part of a current manufacturing business that works with metals and alloys, but it looks like something out of Carbondale's mining days. "No 1" is written above the highest window. It has been suggested by some that it is related to the No. 1 mine in Carbondale, but it is said by a former employee to have been building 1 for the steel mill. |

| Further down, there are more reminents of the railroad and a large fire-damaged building. This open warehouse-looking structure was once used by the D&H to construct coal cars before the railroad went under and the tracks were abandoned. Thanks to Mike Rushton for the info. Afterwards, the building was used by the steel mill that still operates in the No. 1 building. Thanks to Rich Vito for the info. At some point, there was a fire, and the building was never repaired. |
